Our Mission
We teach children to think clearly and treat people well
Westbrook was founded by twelve families who wanted a school where children were known. Fifty years later that is still the measure we hold ourselves to. Every student has an adult here who can tell you what they are working on and what they need next.
Our academic program is demanding, and our teachers make it reachable. Students write often, read widely, and defend their thinking out loud. They also learn to hold a door, own a mistake, and welcome a new classmate.
