About Westbrook Academy

A caring, academically strong school in Ashcroft, teaching children from kindergarten through grade twelve since 1974.

Our Mission

We teach children to think clearly and treat people well

Westbrook was founded by twelve families who wanted a school where children were known. Fifty years later that is still the measure we hold ourselves to. Every student has an adult here who can tell you what they are working on and what they need next.

Our academic program is demanding, and our teachers make it reachable. Students write often, read widely, and defend their thinking out loud. They also learn to hold a door, own a mistake, and welcome a new classmate.

"Parents ask me what makes Westbrook different. It is simple. Our teachers stay, they know your child, and they expect a great deal of them. Come walk the halls and you will feel it."
